The Newer MAXpowr G4 450 (ZIF) features a 450 MHz PowerPC 7400 (G4) processor with the AltiVec "Velocity Engine" vector processing unit and 1 MB of backside cache. The card plugs into the ZIF socket provided by the "Blue & White" Power Macintosh G3 series, replacing the original processor card. All upgrade cards in the Newer MAXpowr G4 series have four dip switches that can be used to adjust both the backside bus speed and ratio.
