Apple Specs > By Processor > 68020 Processor

Update Published December 12, 2025

Every Apple Mac that uses a 68020 processor -- also called a 68020 CPU (Central Processing Unit) -- is listed below.

Apple first released Macs that use the 68020 processor in 1987 and continued to sell Macs that use this processor until 1992. The 68020 processor only was used twice, once in the Macintosh II as a high-end processor and then again with the Macintosh LC -- LC stands for "Low Cost" -- as an entry-level processor years later.

Click on a specific model for its complete technical specs, configuration options, identification details, and more.

Click on the triangle to the left of a product to open "Quick Specs" -- identifiers and basic configuration details -- and click on the name or image for complete specifications. You also can lookup Macs and other Apple products by their identifiers.

Asterisks indicate that particularly important details are provided on the applicable specs page. Also note that configurations listed are the default or most common; many models have multiple options. Refer to the specs page for full details.
