PowerTools officially referred to the processor as having an "enhanced 300 MHz PowerPC 750" processor, which is really "a 250 MHz G3 processor running at a lower operational temperature" than normal. PowerTools claimed"that the processor's speed can safely be increased to 300 MHz" because "chip manufacturers certify that a processor will perform at a given speed at a specific operational temperature" and "by reducing the operational temperature, the processor can run faster while staying within the manufacturers design specifications." 2. ASPD allows the main processor to be replaced by a 604e-family CPU card, and a second processor can be added with a P-series card. 3. RAM can be interleaved to improve performance. 4. Optional E100 card includes UltraSCSI and 10/100Base-T ethernet. 5. The 5.25" bay and both 3.5" bays are external. 6. MacOS versions beyond 8.1 are not supported officially by Apple. 7.
