The FastMac G4/1.2 (AGP) features a 1.2 GHz PowerPC 7455 (G4) processor with the AltiVec "Velocity Engine" vector processing unit and a 2 MB level 3 backside cache. The card plugs into the G4 daughtercard slot provided by the AGP-based Power Macintosh G4 models with either 100 MHz or 133 MHz system buses, replacing the original processor card. All upgrade cards in this series series have switches that can be used to adjust the backside bus speed and ratio. |
