The PowerLogix Blue Chip G3 900 "Pismo" features a 900 MHz PowerPC 750fx (G3) processor with 512k of backside cache on a 900 MHz backside bus (1:1). The Blue Chip G3 is installed in the PowerBook G3 daughtercard slot, replacing the original daughtercard. The Blue Chip G3 "Pismo" models are similar to earlier models in the Blue Chip series, but add a software adjustable clock speed feature, which allows the user to change the speed from the stock speed down to 300 MHz in order to conserve battery life. |
