This update of EveryMac.com features complete specs (and a handful of Q&As) on the new "Enhanced" Fifth Generation iPod, Second Generation iPod nano, and Second Generation iPod shuffle. Additionally, all iPod specs pages have been completely overhauled.

Among the improvements made to the iPod specs pages, the most notable perhaps is that more detailed information is provided about supported file formats, connectivity, and battery life when used for audio, photo, and video functions. Numerous other enhancements have been made as well.

Today's Discussion Q&A is "What do you think about the new iPods? Are you excited by the latest models or find them uninspiring? Do you plan to buy one? Why or why not?" Contribute your ideas.

In case you missed one, Q&As since the last major update include:

  • What is the difference between the 5th Generation iPod and the Enhanced 5th Generation iPod?
  • What is the difference between the second generation iPod shuffle and the first generation iPod shuffle?
  • What are the differences between the second generation iPod nano models?
  • How much faster are the iMac "Core 2 Duo" models than the original iMac "Core Duo" systems?
