December 15, 2008

This update of EveryMac.com features complete specs on the new LED Cinema Display, an overhaul of all other Cinema Display specs, and a complete update to the iPod Support Links. A new Popular Q&As section has been added as well.

All Cinema Display specs have been enhanced with additional information and improved ease-of-use -- using the same "specs drawers" format as the G3 and later Macs -- for your convenience.

The iPod Support Links have been updated with categorized links to Apple support documents for the current iPods as well as additional links for older iPod models. When you need to troubleshoot or fix an iPod for yourself, family, or friends, this portion of the site will save you time and money.

The Popular Q&As section provides quick access to 25 of the most popular Q&As of the year on EveryMac.com, covering the iPod, iPhone, MacBook, MacBook Pro, and more.

Five of the most popular Q&As in 2008 include:

  • How can I transfer or copy music from my iPod to my computer?
  • What is the MacBook battery life in "real-world" tests? How does it compare to the MacBook Pro?
  • How much faster is the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics processor in the "Unibody" MacBook models compared to the Intel GMA X3100 and GMA 950 in earlier models? Is gaming performance improved?
  • Is there a free alternative to Parallels Desktop for Mac and VMWare Fusion?

For 20 additional popular Q&As of the year, please refer to the Popular Q&As section.
