This month, EveryMac.com features all new flip open "Quick Specs" on the "By Series" and "By Year" category pages for G3 and later Macs (as well as the Currently Shipping page), expanded "social media" options, and a sitewide pricing update.

Additionally, EveryMac.com is pleased to have a new host -- WebCentrix.net -- which went above and beyond the call of duty at a moment's notice last week. When you need business class Mac hosting and e-mail, be sure to get in touch with WebCentrix.net.

When EveryMac.com was launched in 1996 Macs each had an individual name. If you needed information on the Performa 6400/180, for example, it was simply a matter of clicking on the applicable computer.

However, as the years have gone by, Apple has released many systems in identical cases without model specific labeling and the official and unofficial names used to identify models have expanded greatly. Consequently, it has become more difficult to identify a specific Mac in a list by name and processor type alone.

To make identification easier, G3 and later category pages now provide a new flip open "Quick Specs" triangle to the left of the name and processor type for each model. Clicking on a triangle reveals a thumbnail image, the dates introduced and discontinued, the official Apple subfamily designation, and the Model Number, as well as the standard RAM, VRAM, hard drive, and optical drive. iPod models and Cinema Displays likewise have additional flip open "Quick Specs" with relevant information to use for differentiation.

EveryMac.com now also has additional "social media" options. EveryMac.com has long had links to Delicious, but now pages can be bookmarked and shared with one click on a dozen different services for your convenience.

It is hoped that you enjoy these significant additions to EveryMac.com and find the site even more useful than before.
