This month, EveryMac.com is pleased to launch an all new iPad version of the "EveryMac" webapp! [subsequently discontinued]
The EveryMac app for the iPad may look similar to the iPhone and iPod touch version, but it has been redeveloped extensively to maximize the tablet experience.
As both versions of the EveryMac app are completely web-powered, independent, and uncensored, you can be assured that the content is current -- with automatic updates in the background on a regular basis -- as well as comprehensive and objective.
Both versions of the EveryMac app make it simple to browse Macs and devices by series, year, processor, and more; lookup systems by precise identifiers; filter systems on category screens; filter details within individual specs screens; compare Macs with a "swipe" of the finger; and save personal lists of your systems.
iPad Specific Features
The EveryMac app for the iPad specifically adds:
- Two column navigation for quicker browsing and to maximize screen utilization.
- Thumbnail images, as well as identifiers, within flip down "Quick Specs" on category pages.
- Two column "Lookup" functionality that presents supported identifiers, matching systems, and the virtual keyboard simultaneously.
- Two column specs screens, along with the aforementioned filtering capability, to minimize vertical swiping.
- Expanded "Compare" functionality so you can see specs for as many as five Macs, iPods, iPhones, or iPads on a single screen.
- Enhanced "My Cloud" functionality to maximize screen usage and simplify the presentation of your own saved categories and lists of systems.
To install the EveryMac app on your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, please click the "Launch the EveryMac App" link on the details page from the device itself, and follow the "Add to Home Screen" instructions.
