Apple Macintosh LC 580The Apple Macintosh LC 580 features a 33 MHz 68LC040 processor, 8 MB of RAM, a 500 MB hard drive, and a 2X CD-ROM drive in a relatively compact all-in-one case with a 14" color display.

Although the LC 580 looks identical to the LC 575 it replaced, and has a processor of identical clockspeed, the LC 580 has a lower quality display and a different motherboard with support for cheaper IDE hard drives, among other changes, including the inclusion of new video input/output expansion.

The consumer version of the LC 580 is the Performa 580CD series, which only was sold in Canada, Asia and Australia.
