All Apple Watch Models
The Apple Watch Hermes Collection represents a collaboration between Apple and French luxury brand Hermes. This model essentially is a "regular" 38 mm 316L stainless steel Apple Watch with three "exclusive" software watch faces in classic Hermes fonts -- Clipper (left photo), Cape Cod (right photo), and Espace -- and bundled with a choice of Hermes designed watch bands. Specific watch band options for this 38 mm model are a "Single Tour" leather band in Fauve Barenia calf leather (Brown, left photo), Noir Box calf leather (Black), and Capucine Swift calf leather (Red). It also is available with a "Double Tour" leather band, designed to wrap around the wrist twice, in Fauve Barenia calf leather (Brown, right photo), Etain Swift calf leather (Gray), Bleu Jean Swift calf leather (Aqua) and Capucine Swift calf leather (Red).
All Apple Watch devices are controlled with a "Digital Crown" and the Retina caliber displays include "Force Touch" capability that can differentiate between a light tap and a heavier press for more navigational possibilities. All Apple Watch models also are required to be paired with an also carried iPhone 5 or newer for most functions.
Battery life is an Apple estimated "up to 18 hours" overall, but more specifically "up to 3 hours" of talk time, "up to 6.5 hours" of audio playback or working out, "up to 48 hours" of use as a watch (using it 20 seconds per hour), and "up to 72 hours" of low power "Power Reserve" usage. It charges via a custom inductive charger with MagSafe capability.
Like the "regular" stainless steel Apple Watch, this particular original 38 mm Apple Watch Hermes features a 272x340 display with a protective sapphire crystal layer packed in 316L stainless steel housing with a zirconia ceramic back and sapphire crystal "lenses" that connect to the charger.
It was discontinued altogether on September 7, 2016.
