Apple Watch Series 10, GPS, 42 mmThe Apple Watch Series 10 models are 10% thinner and at least 10% lighter than their predecessors, but have a new processor, a larger display with a wider viewing angle and a faster refresh rate as well as faster charging, new depth and temperature sensors, improved voice isolation, and new case finish and material options.

This particular model, the Apple Watch Series 10 (Aluminum, GPS, 42 mm) does not have wireless cellular capability, but higher-end models in the series also are capable of being connected to the Internet without a "tethered" iPhone for some functionality. This "GPS" model is required to be connected to an iPhone XS or later or iPhone SE 2 or later running iOS 18 or later.

All Apple Watch Series 10 devices are controlled with a Digital Crown with haptic feedback and a touch capable display. This particular Apple Watch Series 10, the GPS model in the 42 mm size, features a 374x446 "Always-On Retina" wide angle LTPO3 OLED screen with a minimum of 1 nit of brightness and a maximum of 2000 nits of brightness, and Ion-X glass packed in an aluminum case. Battery life is an Apple estimated "up to 18 hours" overall in modest use.

For this model, there are three aluminum body options -- brushed Silver (pictured, left) and "Rose Gold" (pictured, right) as well as polished, shiny "Jet Black." A variety of bundled bands in addition to a wide range of additional watch bands are available from Apple via customization, as well.
