Apple Watch Series 5, Hermes - North America, 40 mmPlease note that this A2094 Apple Watch Series 5 Hermes (North America, 40 mm) model is compatible with LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 25, 26, 39, 40, 41, and 66 as well as UMTS 2100 MHz, 1900 MHz, 1700/2100 MHz, and 850 MHz. It is not compatible with LTE bands 8 or 20 or with UMTS 900 MHz. It is sold in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico (which last time we checked was part of the US).

The Apple Watch Hermes (Series 5) models are sold as a "partnership" between Apple and French luxury brand Hermes. Like earlier Apple Watch Hermes devices, this model effectively is a 40 mm stainless steel Apple Watch Series 5 -- complete with the "Always On" 324x394 LTPO OLED screen covered with a protective "Sapphire crystal" layer -- but with custom packaging and model-specific watch faces and software tweaks.

All Apple Watch Series 5 models look nearly identical to the Apple Watch Series 4 that they replaced, but they have a newer processor, at least twice the storage capacity, and the aforementioned "Always-On" Retina Display, a compass, and an International Emergency Calling feature.

All cellular-equipped Apple Watch Series 5 models, like this one, are capable of being connected to the Internet without a "tethered" iPhone, but it still requires an iPhone 6s or later running iOS 13 or later for most functionality. All Apple Watch Series 5 devices are controlled with a Digital Crown with haptic feedback and a Force Touch capable display and have an "all ceramic and sapphire crystal back" that connects to the charger, as well.

Battery life is an Apple estimated "up to 18 hours" overall, but more specifically "up to 1.5 hours" of talk time connected to LTE, "up to 10 hours" of audio playback from Apple Watch storage, "up to 7 hours" streaming audio via LTE, "up to 10 hours" working out indoors, "up to 6 hours" working out outdoors with GPS, and "up to 5 hours" working out outdoors with GPS and LTE.

For this specific 40 mm Apple Watch Hermes (Series 5) model, there formally were four default options -- Space Black stainless steel with a Noir (Black) Double Tour or Single Tour band as well as silver-colored stainless steel with a Fauve (Light Brown) Double Tour or Single Tour band. However, Apple highlighted the four default options as well as five others at the time of this model's release. The other five promoted options, all with a silver-colored stainless steel case include the "Etain/Beton" (Brown/Patterned Beige; pictured right) Double Tour, "Encre/Beton (Blue/Patterned Beige) Double Tour, "Brique/Beton" (Red/Patterned Beige) Double Tour, "Brique/Beton" Single Tour, and Feu (Orange) Single Tour (pictured, left). The models with black housings also include a black Hermes Sport Band whereas the models with silver housings also include an orange Hermes Sport Band. Other leather watch bands were available via customization, as well.
