Apple HomeView 2026Essentially a more powerful HomePod with a proper display -- or perhaps somewhat cynically, a cheap, battery-less, hobbled iPhone mounted on a stand that requires you to also have an iPhone or iPad -- the Apple HomeView is a "smart display" that promises to bring "entertainment, connection, and smart home management together in one place." Designed primarily with voice interaction via Siri AI in mind, the Apple HomeView is intended for as many as six people in a household "yet feel completely personal to each user."

Externally, the Apple HomeView (Standard, Speaker Base) model has a square, touch-sensitive 7" (diagonal) "Liquid Retina" display (1088x1088, 220 ppi) with a 12 megapixel "Center Stage" camera integrated in the upper trim and mounted on a short arm that allows the display to be angled up and down. This display is attached to a small, rounded "gumdrop" aluminum base -- offered in four subtle metallic colors; silver, a warm gray "Starlight", "Rose Pink" or dark "Space Gray" -- and packing multiple speakers in the display and the base alike. Audio hardware includes "two custom full-range drivers, a custom down-firing woofer, and dual force-canceling passive radiators."

Internally, the Apple HomeView is powered by a (Pending) Apple A18 processor, has (Pending) GB of RAM, and (Pending) GB of storage. It supports Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) with MIMO, Bluetooth 6, and Thread networking, as well.

Pricing varies by country, but in the United States, it is US$299 regardless of color.

Pending* Apple A18
Details: *Apple provides limited technical details about the HomeView, but the company does report that it is powered by an Apple A18 processor of unspecified clockspeed. If it is similar to the Apple A18 processor in the iPhone 16e and iPhone 16, it likely has six CPU cores with two "performance" cores and four "efficiency" cores and runs around 4.0 GHz. It likely has either four GPU cores or five GPU cores, like either the iPhone 16e or iPhone 16, respectively, but this is all subject to confirmation (Pending).
Pending* Pending*
Details: *Apple provides no public information about the amount of storage or RAM in the Apple HomeView, but it likely is 8 GB. Both the iPhone 16e and iPhone 16 use the Apple A18 processor and have 8 GB of RAM.

8 GB of RAM also is the minimum to run Apple Intelligence. The HomeView supports "Siri AI" -- powered by Apple Intelligence -- which might also require a minimum of 8 GB of RAM if Siri AI is processed entirely on device (it requires a iPhone or iPad running iOS 27.2/iPadOS 27.2 or later on the network at least to identify you and it could be used for some processing, as well). However, this is speculative and subject to confirmation (Pending).
7" Liquid Retina* 1088x1088 (220 ppi)
Details: *The HomeView has a square, 6.98" (diagonal) "Liquid Retina" LED-backlit multitouch display with IPS technology and True Tone support. It is advertised as a 7" diagonal display with an actual viewable area that is smaller than 6.98". It has 500 nits of maximum brightness and 0.3 nits minimum brightness.
802.11ax (MIMO)* 6.0
Details: *The HomeView supports Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) with MIMO and Bluetooth 6.0. It supports Thread networking and "peer-to-peer discovery for easy guest access" as well.
None Touch/Voice
Details: The HomeView has a 1088x1088 touch-sensitive display for input. It also is designed for heavy interaction with Siri AI.
Smart Display HomeView (Standard)
Details: The HomeView is a "smart display" that supports Siri AI. It requires an iPhone running iOS 27.2 or an iPad running iPadOS 27.2 or later, as well.
Four Colors* Touch/Voice
Details: *The HomeView (Standard) is available in four subtle, muted metallic color options -- Silver, a warm gray "Starlight", Rose Pink, and a dark "Space Gray."

It is powered by a round touch-sensitive display and Siri AI.
MDH14LL/A* HomeView
Details: MDH14LL/A refers to the standard HomeView in Silver. In Starlight, Rose Pink, and Space Gray, the order numbers are MDH34LL/A, MDH44LL/A, and MDH24LL/A, respectively.
Pending (EMC Pending) Pending
Details: Additional identifiers will be added soon (Pending).

Also see: All Apple devices with the Pending Model Number, the Pending EMC Number, and the Pending Model Identifier.
HomeView* (Pending) N/A
Details: *Apple makes no major mention of the operating system for the HomeView, but in fine print, the company mentions that "Siri AI is available in beta in HomeView software version 27.2." It does not have its own app store, but comes with a selection of pre-installed apps familiar to any iPhone user and can also be used with additional apps in conjunction with an iPhone.

The HomeView also requires an iPhone running iOS 27.2 or later or an iPad running iPadOS 27.2 or later.
5.83-6.82 x 5.73 x 3.78-5.13* 2.1 lbs. (952 g)
