What are the differences between the "16 VRAM/Mid-2002" iBook (600/700) models?
Please note that the "16 VRAM/Mid-2002" iBook (600/700) series was introduced on May 20, 2002 and discontinued November 6, 2002.
The differences between the "16 VRAM/Mid-2002" iBook models and the "Late 2001/Early 2002" models are fairly minor, but the "16 VRAM" models have 16 MB of video RAM (twice that of their predecessors) -- as one would expect given the informal name -- as well as improved processors with 512k of on chip level 2 cache (also twice that of its predecessor). Some models have higher clock speed processors, more default memory, and superior optical drives as well.
