Apple iPod shuffle 2G Late 2007 ColorsThe "Late 2007" colored iPod shuffle (Second Generation) models are the same as the previous "Early 2007/Colors" iPod shuffle (Second Generation) line, but use different colored housings. The late 2007 models were offered in light blue, light green, purple, and silver, as well as "Special Edition (PRODUCT) RED" -- compared to the models they replaced which were available in a darker blue, orange, green, and pink, as well as silver. Otherwise, these iPod shuffle models are physically identical.

All iPod shuffle (Second Generation) models use a tiny 1.07 inch tall, 0.98 inch wide, and 0.33 inch deep case including a "clip" that makes it easy to attach the iPod shuffle (2nd Generation) to a pocket or other piece of clothing.

The second generation models lack the integrated USB port of the first generation model, but instead have a headphone jack that provides connectivity for the headphones, music synchronization, and power (via a tiny USB dock).

The iPod shuffle 2nd Generation (Late 2007) models use either 1 GB or 2 GB (starting February 19, 2008) of flash memory, supporting 240 or 500 songs, respectively. Apple reports an estimated 12 hours of battery life.
