Every Apple MacBook, regardless of release date or display size, is listed below. All MacBook models use Intel processors.
First unveiled in 2006 as a white or black polycarbonate 13-Inch notebook for entry-level consumers, this initial MacBook design was replaced in 2008 by an aluminum option that cut into sales of the more expensive MacBook Air. Apple then brought the earlier polycarbonate design back, tweaked it futher in subsequent models to resemble the sleek "Unibody" style of more expensive Apple notebooks but in a cheaper polycarbonate housing, and finally discontinued the line in 2012.
In 2015, Apple rebooted the MacBook name and released an all new, smaller 12-Inch aluminum MacBook with comparatively slow processors and a single USB-C port; this design was discontinued in 2019. The MacBook brand has not been used since, although Apple continues to sell MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models.
