Apple Power Macintosh 9600/350The Apple Power Macintosh 9600/350, based on the Kansas architecture, features a 350 MHz PowerPC 604e "Mach 5" processor, 64 MB of RAM, a 4.0 GB hard drive, a 24X CD-ROM drive, an internal Zip drive, and an 8 MB IX-Micro Twin Turbo 128 video card in a well-designed, "flip open" tower case design that is significantly easier to upgrade than earlier Power Mac tower cases.

In addition to the easy-to-upgrade case, the Power Macintosh 9600 series is notable for having twelve RAM slots and six PCI slots for expansion options unmatched by subsequently released Power Mac models.

The server version of the Power Macintosh 9600/350 is the WGS 9650/350.
