On October 19, 2004, Apple added the odd ball Power Mac G5/1.8 (PCI) to the lineup, which uses a lower cost motherboard based on the one used in the iMac G5, with a 600 MHz (3:1) system bus. Apart from the slower architecture and a single processor instead of two, it is otherwise configured identically to the Power Mac G5/1.8 DP (PCI) with 256 MB of RAM (4 GB maximum), an 80 GB hard drive, an 8X "SuperDrive", 64 MB GeForce FX 5200 Ultra graphics, and 3 PCI slots. It was assigned model number M9555LL/A and sold for US$1499.
†These models have a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra with 64 MB of DDR SDRAM.
††All hard drives are 7200 RPM.
*Each also has an expansion slot for AirPort Extreme (802.11g) and Bluetooth 1.1.
