This update of EveryMac.com features technical specifications on the new "Eight Core" Mac Pro and a comprehensive update to the Mac Pro Q&A to cover the latest model.

The Mac Pro Q&A answers questions from "What are the differences between Mac Pro configurations?" to "How much faster is the custom configured 'Eight Core' Mac Pro model compared to the stock Mac Pro?" and everything in between.

In case you missed one, Q&As since the last major update include:

  • How do you upgrade the RAM in the Mac Pro? How much RAM of what type does it support?
  • How does the stock Mac Pro compare to a similar Windows PC?
  • What operating system does Apple TV use? Does it run MacOS X?
  • Can the Apple TV run Windows or Linux?
  • What are the differences between Mac Pro configurations?
  • How much faster are the custom configured Mac Pro models with either 3.0 GHz "Quad Core" or 3.0 GHz "Eight Core" processors compared to the stock Mac Pro?
