This update of EveryMac.com features an all new "Actual Maximum RAM" listing, a complete update to the iPod Support Links, and a Popular Q&As section. The Ultimate Mac Comparison and Ultimate Mac Lookup both have been enhanced as well.
The new Actual Maximum RAM listing -- part of the By Capability & Identifier section -- provides the actual (unofficial) maximum RAM capacity for all G3 and later Macs on a single page. EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Comparison, likewise, has been enhanced to focus on the actual maximum RAM rather than the "official" maximum RAM for each Mac. Mac specs pages on EveryMac.com also have been "flipped" and now list the actual maximum RAM with greater priority and have the "official" capacity as a footnote. It is hoped that you will find these changes helpful time-savers.
If you haven't already tried EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup -- which allows you to dynamically lookup G3 and later Mac specs and iPod and iPhone specs by Apple Order Number, Model Number, Model ID, Serial Number, and Intel processor number -- please give it a shot. It has been updated with additional Serial Numbers and has been integrated across the site including "one click" Model ID and Model Number access from Mac specs pages as well.
The iPod Support Links have been updated with categorized links to Apple support documents for the current iPods and now have increased integration with the iPod Troubleshooting & Repair Q&A in addition to other changes to improve ease-of-use. When you need to troubleshoot or fix an iPod for yourself, family, or friends, this portion of the site will save you time and money.
