This update of EveryMac.com features complete specs (and a handful of Q&As) on the brand new "stealth" MacBook as well as a comprehensive update to the iPad Q&A to cover all the details for both models.

Additionally, the Currently Shipping, By Year, By Processor, By Case Type, By Capability, and By Identifier Mac specs listings have been updated and Mac manuals have been updated as well. The Ultimate Mac Comparison and Ultimate Mac Lookup features all have been updated too.

For those interested in saving money on a new MacBook, site sponsor Adorama sells the latest model free of sales tax and with free shipping (and also has the just discontinued model at a discount). To save money on upgrades, OWC has quality memory, hard drives, and SSDs for the new MacBook at affordable prices.

The comprehensive iPad Q&A answers "What are the 'pros and cons' of the iPad? Is it right for my needs? Is it 'worth' buying?" and "What is the battery life of the iPad in 'real world' tests? Can you replace the battery?" and dozens of other iPad questions.

If you buy a new MacBook (or a new iPad), please send in its serial number. This information will be added to the Ultimate Mac Lookup to help with model identification and differentiation. Thank you very much.

In case you missed one, a selection of Q&As since the last major update include:

  • What are the differences between the White "Mid-2010" MacBook and the White "Late 2009" MacBook that it replaced?
  • What are the differences between the 13-Inch White "Mid-2010" MacBook and the also 13-Inch "Mid-2010" MacBook Pro and "Mid-2009" MacBook Air models? Which is best for me?
  • How does the iPad compare to the MacBook and MacBook Air? Which one is right for my needs?
  • What is the battery life of the iPad in "real-world" tests? Can you replace the battery?
  • Can the iPad be used to type documents? Can it open and save Microsoft Office files? Can it open and save PDF files?
  • Is it possible to print documents directly from the iPad or do they have to be transferred to a computer first?
