This month, EveryMac.com is pleased to launch an all new "EveryMac" webapp for Android mobile and tablet devices [subsequently discontinued].
The EveryMac app for Android functions much like its iOS counterparts for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad, but it has been redeveloped extensively to provide a look-and-feel that complements a variety of Android UIs, optimize Android performance, and accommodate the multitude of display sizes and resolutions of the Android ecosystem.
Although the EveryMac app for Android has been tested extensively on more than a dozen common Android devices, it should be considered to be in "beta" and subject to future tweaks and bug fixes.
Whether for the iOS or Android, the EveryMac app makes it simple to browse Macs and devices by series, year, processor, and more; lookup systems by precise identifiers; filter systems on category screens; filter details within individual specs screens; compare Macs with a "swipe" of the finger; and save personal lists of your systems.
To view the EveryMac app from within your Android web browser (or your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad web browser), please click the "Launch the EveryMac App" link on the details page from the device itself.
To install the EveryMac app for Android, visit the Google Play Store and click the "Install" button.
Whether you use Android because you like it or because it has been mandated by an employer, it is hoped that you find the EveryMac app just as helpful as the website has been for the past seventeen years.
With your continued patronage of the companies that sponsor the site, EveryMac.com will be able to serve you for years to come.
As always, please tell your Mac-using, iPod-wearing, iPhone-packing, and iPad-toting friends about EveryMac.com. Now, please tell your Android-preferring friends and frenemies, too. Thank you.
