28 October 2017

This update of EveryMac.com features additional details and identifiers on the iPhone X now available for pre-order as well as complete updates to the Apple TV Q&A and iPad Q&A to cover the latest models and changes. EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup has been updated, too.

The iPhone X is promised to start arriving to customers on November 3. Complete info can be added to EveryMac.com as it becomes available.

Additionally, although EveryMac.com has long used SSL encryption for sensitive portions of the site, the entire site now is SSL encrypted (https) for enhanced security and privacy. It formally drops the vintage "www" subdomain prefix, as well. For fastest performance, please update bookmarks and links to https://everymac.com.

The Apple TV Q&A answers "What are all the differences between the current Apple TV 4th Gen (Siri) and Apple TV 4K models? Which is best for me?" and "What are the 'pros and cons' of the Apple TV 4K (2017)? Is it worth it?" and dozens of other questions.

The iPad Q&A answers "What are all the differences between the 10.5" iPad Pro and 12.9" iPad Pro (2nd Gen)?" and "What are the 'pros and cons' of the iPad Pro line? Is one the best iPad for me?" and much more about new and old models alike.

EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup has been updated with additional identifiers for Macs and devices from hands-on inspection and submissions by helpful readers. Thank you very much to those who continue to contribute info. It's appreciated always.

If you bought, or buy, a new iPhone X, please send in its serial number when the device arrives. Non-personal information will be added to EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup to help with model identification and differentiation. Thank you.
