This update of EveryMac.com features details on the iPod nano (PRODUCT) RED Special Edition and a comprehensive update of the iPod Q&A.

Now with more than one hundred iPod questions answered, the iPod Q&A addresses everything from "Which iPods can sync and charge via USB? Which iPods can sync and charge via Firewire?" to "How do you replace the iPod display?". Numerous other questions asked by beginners and advanced readers alike are answered as well.

Today's Discussion Q&A is "What do you think about the (PRODUCT) RED initiative? Do you think it encourages individuals who would not otherwise contribute to charity to do so? Do you think Apple and other participating companies are exploiting a worthy cause for profit? Why or why not?" Contribute your ideas.

In case you missed one, Q&As since the last major update include:

  • How many songs does each iPod, iPod mini, iPod nano, and iPod shuffle hold?
  • How can I connect my iPod to my car stereo?
  • How can I transfer photos from my computer to my iPod or iPod nano?
  • How can I transfer or copy music from my iPod to my computer?
  • What is the difference between the red iPod nano and the standard second generation iPod nano?
  • Can the Mac Pro run Windows XP? What drivers are required?
  • Which iPods are currently shipping? How many songs does each hold? What are the "pros and cons" of each?
