All Apple Watch Models
In a quiet admission that the expensive, gold laden original Apple Watch Edition models failed to find an audience in the marketplace, the Apple Watch Edition (Series 2) uses an attractive, durable, white ceramic housing that is a bit more expensive than the standard Apple Watch Series 2 models, but are more modest than their predecessors in price and market positioning alike.
Like the standard models that have a stainless steel housing, this particular Apple Watch Series 2 (Edition) model, in the 42 mm size, features a 312x390 OLED display covered with a strong sapphire crystal layer for protection. The Apple Watch Series 2 Edition model is bundled simply with a white "Cloud" fluroelastomer sport band, though, rather than offered with a range of bands.
All Apple Watch Series 2 devices are controlled with a "Digital Crown" and a Force Touch capable display and need to be paired with an iPhone 5 or newer for most functionality.
All Apple Watch Series 2 models also have a dual core processor, water resistance to 50 meters, and built in GPS capabilities.
Battery life is an Apple estimated "up to 18 hours" overall, but more specifically "up to 3 hours" of talk time, "up to 6.5 hours" of audio playback, and "up to 8 hours" working out.
