Apple Watch Series 4 Hermes, 40 mmPlease note that this A1975 Apple Watch Series 4 Hermes (United States/Canada, 40 mm) model is compatible with LTE bands 2 (1900 MHz), 4 (AWS), 5 (850 MHz), 12 (700 MHz), 13 (700c MHz), 17 (700b MHz), 18 (800 MHz), 19 (800 MHz), 25 (1900 MHz), 26 (800 MHz), and 41 (TD 2500) as well as UMTS 800 MHz, 1700 MHz, and 1900 MHz in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico (which last time we checked was part of the US). It is not intended to work in other countries.

The Apple Watch Hermes (Series 4) models are presented as a "partnership" between Apple and French luxury brand Hermes. Like previous Apple Watch Hermes devices, this model essentially is a 40 mm stainless steel Apple Watch Series 4 -- complete with the 324x394 LTPO OLED screen covered with a protective "Sapphire crystal" layer -- but with custom packaging and software tweaks. Like earlier Hermes models, the Apple Watch Hermes (Series 4) includes watch faces with four classic Hermes fonts -- Clipper, Cape Cod, Espace, and Carrick -- but adds a new colorful option that matches the watch band for a "dash of sophisticated whimsey."

All Apple Watch Series 4 models look similar to earlier models, but have larger displays, more advanced input capabilities, more powerful internals, and more advanced sensors (most notably a new accelerometer and gyroscope that can detect falls and an electrical heart sensor).

All Apple Watch Series 4 devices are controlled with a Digital Crown with haptic feedback and a Force Touch capable display. All cellular-capable Apple Watch Series 4 models, like the Hermes line, are capable of being connected to the Internet without a "tethered" iPhone, but it still requires an iPhone 6 or newer running iOS 12 or later for most functionality.

Battery life is an Apple estimated "up to 18 hours" overall, but more precisely, "up to 2 hours" of talk time connected to an iPhone, "over 1 hour" connected to LTE, "up to 10 hours" of audio playback from Apple Watch storage, "up to 7 hours" of streaming from a music playlist with LTE, "up to 5 hours" streaming live radio with LTE, "up to 10 hours" of working out indoors, "up to 6 hours" of working out outdoors with GPS, "up to 5 hours" of working out outdoors with GPS and LTE, and "up to 4 hours" of working out outdoors with streaming audio, GPS, and LTE.

There are six different options for the 40 mm Apple Watch Series 4 Hermes, all with stainless steel cases and leather bands. Options include the choice of an Indigo/Craie (Off White)/Orange Swift Leather Double Tour band, a Bordeaux (Dark Red)/Rose Extreme/Ros Azalee Swift Leather Double Tour band (pictured, right), a Bordeaux/Rose Extreme/Ros Azalee Swift Leather Single Tour band, a Bleu Indigo Swift Leather Double Tour band, a Fauve Barenia (Natural Brown) Swift Leather Double Tour band, and a Fauve Barenia Swift Leather Single Tour band (pictured, left).
