Who designed the "2019" Mac Pro?

Like other Macs of its vintage, the "2019" Mac Pro tower and rack-mountable models were designed in-house by Apple's Industrial Design Group, then headed by Jonathan Ive.

How can you secure the "2019" Mac Pro? Does it have a security slot?

The "2019" Mac Pro models do not have a "traditional" Mac security slot.

However, the always clever Belkin released a Security Cable Lock Adapter for the "2019" Mac Pro models.

This product uses a three-piece design and can be installed without drilling. It makes it straightforward to secure the Mac Pro's innards with a traditional padlock.

To make it more difficult to carry the entire Mac Pro away, you might also choose to loop a security cable through the Mac Pro's handles and lock it to a desk, countertop, building support, or other immovable object using a Kensington Desktop Locking Kit.

Where can I buy a "2019" Mac Pro?

In the US, you always can buy a new Mac Pro directly from Apple, but you often can get a better deal by buying your new Mac Pro from an Apple Authorized Reseller like site sponsor Adorama. Adorama commonly has deep discounts on recently discontinued models, too. Other World Computing sells used and refurb Mac Pro models at bargain prices with free shipping, as well.

Where can I sell a "2019" Mac Pro?

Like selling anything else, you generally can make the most money by selling a Mac Pro directly on an online auction or classifieds site, but doing so is time consuming and may or may not be worth the trouble for you.

If you need to sell an Mac Pro, consider A+ BBB-rated site sponsor Cash for Your Mac. Cash for Your Mac provides an instant cash offer and free and insured FedEx shipping.

What are the custom configuration options for the "2019" Mac Pro?

The "2019" Mac Pro is the most customizable Mac that Apple has offered in many years.

EveryMac.com documents the entry-level processor configuration -- which ships with a 3.5 GHz 8-Core Xeon W (W-3223), an AMD Radeon Pro 580X with 8 GB of GDDR5, 32 GB of DDR4 EEC memory, and a 256 GB SSD -- as the Mac Pro "Eight Core" 3.5 (2019). EveryMac.com documents other processor configurations and the rack-mountable configurations as their own models.

Direct from Apple or from an Apple Authorized Reseller like site sponsor Adorama, the processor, graphics processor, RAM, and storage all can be custom configured accordingly:
