Note that models equipped with a "M1 Pro" or "M2 Pro" processor also are configured with 16 GB of RAM by default and can, or could, be upgraded to 32 GB of RAM at the time of system purchase. Models equipped with an "M1 Max" processor are automatically configured with 32 GB of RAM by default and could be upgraded to 64 GB of RAM at the time of system purchase. Finally, models equipped with an "M2 Max" processor are automatically configured with 32 GB of RAM by default and can be upgraded to at least 64 GB of RAM, and as much as 96 GB of RAM, at the time of system purchase.

To reiterate, the RAM cannot be upgraded after system purchase in any Apple Silicon MacBook Pro models.

Where can I buy a Apple Silicon MacBook Pro?

In the US, you always can buy a new Mac directly from Apple, but you often can get a better deal by buying your new Apple Silicon MacBook Pro from an Apple Authorized Reseller like site sponsor Adorama. Adorama commonly has deep discounts on recently discontinued models, too. Other World Computing and JemJem sell used and refurb MacBook Pro models at bargain prices with free shipping, as well.

In the UK, site sponsor Hoxton Macs sells a good selection of used MacBook Pro models with a one-year warranty and free next day delivery. Delivery across Europe also is available starting at just £9.99 for two-day delivery to France and Germany.

In Australia, site sponsor Mac City has a variety of used MacBook Pro models at low prices with a free warranty and fast shipping across Australia.

Who designed the Apple Silicon MacBook Pro?

Of course, all of Apple's Macs have been designed by hundreds of hardworking employees, but the company's industrial design for many years has been performed entirely in-house by Apple's Industrial Design Group.

For the "guts" of the Apple Silicon MacBook Pro, Apple's "Hardware Technologies" group also deserves a great deal of credit, too.
