Apple MacBook Pro 16-Inch 2019The MacBook Pro "Core i9" 2.3 16-Inch 5600M (2019, Scissor Keyboard) technically is a "configure-to-order" configuration of either the MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.6 16-Inch 2019 (Scissor) or MacBook Pro "Core i9" 2.3 16-Inch 2019 (Scissor), but also is documented as a separate model because it has different identifiers and operating system support.Other than graphics processor, these models can be configured identically.

The MacBook Pro "Core i9" 2.4 16-Inch 5600M (2019, Scissor Keyboard) is powered by a 14 nm, 9th Generation "Coffee Lake" 2.4 GHz Intel "Core i9" processor (I9-9980HK), with eight independent processor "cores" on a single silicon chip, a 16 MB shared level 3 cache, 16 GB of onboard 2666 MHz DDR4 SDRAM -- which could be upgraded to 64 GB at the time of purchase, but cannot be upgraded later -- and 1 TB of onboard flash storage as well as dual graphics processors -- an AMD Radeon Pro 5600M with 8 GB of dedicated HBM2 memory and an Intel UHD Graphics 630 graphics processor that shares memory with the system.

Externally, this notebook has an integrated 720p FaceTime HD webcam, a "new Magic Keyboard" with a "redesigned scissor mechanism... including 4 arrow keys in an inverted-T arrangement" as well as a customized "Touch Bar" with a separate esc key and a separate "Touch ID" sensor, and a gigantic "Force Touch" trackpad.

Additionally, it has a high-resolution LED-backlit 16.0" widescreen 3072x1920 (226 ppi, 500 nits) "Retina" display with True Tone technology and the option of setting the refresh rate, and a integrated battery that provides an Apple estimated 11 hours of runtime.

This notebook is offered in either silver colored aluminum or a darker "Space Gray" colored aluminum housing (but not other colors) and weighs 4.3 pounds (2.0 kg).

Connectivity includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, four "Thunderbolt 3" ports (USB-C connector), and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Compared to its predecessor, this model has the same processor, but a larger display; faster RAM and graphics; a better keyboard design with scissor switches, inverted-T arrow keys, and separate esc and Touch ID keys; better quality speaker and microphone systems; and longer battery life.
