The PowerBook G3 line was introduced in 1997 and it was sold until 2001. All PowerBook G3 models have PowerPC G3 processors and use black, often curvaceous, case designs. The PowerBook G3 series was replaced by the silver colored PowerBook G4 series in 2001.
