Also note the following regarding iPadOS 27 compatibility:
- Fully Compatible -- an iPad is fully compatible with iPadOS 27 including the "most powerful on-device model" provided by Apple Intelligence.
- Basically Compatible* -- an iPad is compatible with iPadOS 27, but it does not support Apple Intelligence at all.
- Mostly Compatible** -- an iPad is compatible with iPadOS 27, and it does support Apple Intelligence, but it does not support the "most powerful on-device model".
- Variably Compatible*** -- lower-end configurations equipped with less storage and RAM do not support the "most powerful on-device model" provided by Apple Intelligence, but higher-end configurations eqipped with 12 GB of more of RAM -- which have more storage, as well -- do provide such support.
