November 6, 2006

This month, EveryMac.com features complete specs (and a handful of Q&As) on the new MacBook Pro "Core 2 Duo" models and the latest RED iPod nano. Additionally, all PowerBook G4 specs pages have been enhanced.

Among the improvements made to the PowerBook G4 specs pages, more information now is provided for each model along with numerous enhancements designed to make it easier to differentiate one system from another. For example, it now is possible to distinguish the "TiBooks" from the "AlBooks" at a glance.

Today's Discussion Q&A is "What do you think about the MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo models? Are you pleased with the latest notebooks or were you hoping for more? Why or why not?" Contribute your ideas.

In case you missed one, Q&As since the last major update include:

  • What is the difference between the red iPod nano and the standard second generation iPod nano?
  • Is the CPU on the MacBook Pro upgradable? How is it mounted?
  • Which are the last Macs capable of running MacOS 9/Classic applications?
  • Are ExpressCard/34 media card readers available for the MacBook Pro?
  • What is the difference between the MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo models and the MacBook Pro models that they replaced?
  • What colors are available for each iPod model?
  • What is the MagSafe airline adapter? Does it work with the MacBook Pro and MacBook? Does it work in a car?
  • What are the differences between the MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo models?
  • How good is the picture quality when an iPod video is connected to a TV?

Additions & Changes:

Added new specs pages:

Added newly formatted/overhauled specs pages:

Updated the Currently Shipping page.

Please note, as is stated at the bottom of every page, the estimated retail pricing is updated as systems are converted to the new format. Pricing for used systems using the old format remains woefully out-of-date, and will be brought up-to-date as systems are updated in the new format. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
