September 10, 2007

This update of EveryMac.com features preliminary specs (and a handful of Q&As) on the all new iPod touch, iPod classic, iPod nano (3G), and iPod shuffle models.

Today's Discussion Q&A is "As expected, Apple has introduced a complete line of new iPods. Are you thrilled that the iPod touch offers the iPhone 'experience' without a phone or the burden of a contract or do you think it lacks adequate storage and is limited unnecessarily by software? Do you like the new video-capable iPod nano design or did you prefer the 'slimmer' iPod nano more? Do you like that the iPod classic can hold as many as 40,000 songs or do you think that larger hard drive-equipped iPods should be discontinued in favor of an all flash-based lineup? Why or why not?" Contribute your ideas.

In case you missed one, Q&As since the last major update include:

  • What are the differences between the third generation iPod nano models? What are the differences between these models and the models they replaced?
  • What is the difference between the iPod classic and the Enhanced 5th Generation iPod?
  • What are the differences between the "Colors" second generation iPod shuffle and the "Late 2007" iPod shuffle line?
  • Can I transfer additional games to the iPod?
  • What applications are available for the iPhone? Will third-party applications be available in the future?
