November 12, 2007

This month, EveryMac.com features complete technical specifications (and a handful of Q&As) on the new "Santa Rosa" MacBook models. The "By Processor," "By Case Type" and "By Capability" Mac specification listings have been updated as well.

In particular, the "Maximum Supported Version of MacOS X" capability listing has been updated completely with a convenient single page run down of which Macs can support MacOS X 10.5 "Leopard" and which ones cannot.

In case you missed one, Q&As since the last major update include:

  • Can you "beam" data files between two iPhone models? Does the iPhone support "disk mode" when connected to a computer?
  • Can you purchase the iPhone "unlocked"?
  • What companies will provide iPhone service in Europe and Asia? Are the carriers "exclusive" in these markets?
  • What applications are available for the iPhone? Will third-party applications be available in the future?
  • What are the differences between the "Late 2007 Santa Rosa" MacBook Core 2 Duo models and the "Mid-2007" MacBook notebooks that they replaced?
  • What are the differences between the "Late 2007 Santa Rosa" MacBook Core 2 Duo models?
  • Are any Macs capable of booting into both MacOS X 10.5 "Leopard" and MacOS 9?
