October 11, 2010

This month, EveryMac.com features complete specs (and a handful of Q&As) on the now shipping Apple TV and a comprehensive update to the iPod Q&A -- with more than 100 iPod questions answered -- covering all models from the original iPod up to the latest button-adorned iPod shuffle, multi-touch capable iPod nano, and dual camera-equipped iPod touch.

Additionally, EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Comparison has been integrated with Mac, iPod, iPhone and iPad specs pages so that it is possible to load a particular model from its own specs page into the feature with a single click. EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup also has been integrated more deeply with the "By Identifier" Mac, iPod, iPhone and iPad specs listings so that all models that match a particular Model Number, Model Identifier, or EMC Number can be retrieved with one click.

It is hoped that these significant additions to EveryMac.com save you time and you find the site even more useful than before.

The iPod Q&A answers "How well does the iPod touch 4th Gen work as a VOIP/Skype phone in 'real-world' use?" and "How can I save videos from YouTube and play them on my iPod?" and everything in between. More than 100 iPod questions are answered in total.

New Apple TV Q&As include "What are all the differences between the black second generation Apple TV and the Aluminum Mac mini? Which is best for my needs?" and "What type of television supports the Apple TV models? Is the Apple TV compatible with HDTV and SDTV?" along with other questions covering the black second generation Apple TV.

If you buy a new Apple TV (or a new iPod), please send in its serial number. This information will be added to EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup to help with model identification and differentiation. Thank you very much.

In case you missed one, a selection of Q&As since the last major update include:

  • What are all the differences between the black second generation Apple TV and the original Apple TV? Which one is best for me?
  • What are all the differences between the black second generation Apple TV and the Aluminum Mac mini? Which is best for my needs?
