This update of EveryMac.com features complete specs, identifiers, benchmarks, and global prices on the now shipping iPhone X as well as a comprehensive update to the iPhone Q&A. EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup has been updated, too.

If you missed it last month, the entire EveryMac.com site now is SSL encrypted (https) for enhanced security and privacy. It formally drops the vintage "www" subdomain prefix, as well. For fastest performance, please update your bookmarks and links to https://everymac.com.

The iPhone Q&A answers "What are the major differences between the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X? Which is really best for me?" and "Is it possible to expand the storage in the iPhone? How?" and dozens of other questions about new and old iPhone models alike.

EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup has been updated with additional identifiers for the iPhone X as well as other Apple Macs and devices from hands-on inspection and submissions by helpful readers. Thank you very much to those who continue to contribute info. It's appreciated always.

If you bought, or buy, a new iPhone X, please send in its serial number. Non-personal information will be added to EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup to help with model identification and differentiation. Thank you.

New Q&As

A selection of Q&As since the last major site update include:

  • What are the major differences between the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X? Which is really best for me?
  • What are all the differences between the iPhone X models? How many different versions are there?
  • What are the major differences between the iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, and iPhone 8? Why does Apple now sell so many phones? Which is for me?
  • How fast are the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X models compared to one another? How fast are they compared to earlier models?
  • Which iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch models support iOS 11? Do some models "partially" support iOS 11? Which are slower running iOS 11 than iOS 10?
