This update of EveryMac.com features complete specs, identifiers, benchmarks, and global prices on the now shipping iPhone XR as well as a comprehensive update to the iPhone Q&A. EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup has been updated, too.

The iPhone Q&A has been updated not only to cover the latest iPhone models but also with additional help to get more out of older ones. Questions answered include "What are the major differences between the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR? Which is best for me?" and "Is it possible to add external storage to the iPhone? Which external storage is best?" and more than one hundred others.

EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup has been updated with additional identifiers for the new iPhone and Apple Watch models -- in addition to other Macs and devices -- from hands-on inspection and submissions by helpful readers. Thank you very much to those who continue to contribute info. It's appreciated always.

If you bought, or buy, a new iPhone or Apple Watch, please send in its serial number. Non-personal information will be added to EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup to help with model identification and differentiation. Thank you.

New Q&As

A selection of Q&As since the last major site update include:

  • What are the major differences between the iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, and iPhone 8? Are these older models still worth considering?
