12 November 2020

This update of EveryMac.com features preliminary specs, identifiers, and global prices for the new M1-based MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini models available for pre-order. Further details can be added when info becomes available.

macOS Big Sur (macOS 11) is promised for release in its "final" version today, as well. As always, to be on the safe side, EveryMac.com would recommend waiting for a "bug fix" update or two before upgrading to the new operating system.

Additionally, the Currently Shipping, By Year, By Processor, By Case Type, By Capability, and By Identifier Mac specs listings have been updated and Mac Manuals and Global Original Mac Prices have been updated.

The Ultimate Mac Comparison, Ultimate Mac Lookup, and Ultimate Mac Sort features all have been updated, too.

Finally, the EveryMac webapp [subsequently discontinued] has been updated to cover the new Macs and macOS Big Sur.

For those interested in saving money on a new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, or Mac mini, Apple Authorized site sponsor Adorama soon will have the new models available for pre-order and with free shipping. Adorama likewise has some recently discontinued models in stock at discounted prices, but only while supplies last.

If you buy a new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, or Mac mini, please get in touch and send in its serial number when the Mac arrives. Non-personal information will be added to EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup to help with model identification and differentiation. Thank you.
