August 10, 1997 This month, EveryMac.com features all of the new computers announced at MacWorld Expo from Apple, Motorola, PowerComputing, and Umax, in addition to new MacOS-Compatibles from MaxxBoxx, PowerDome, and Storm. Additions & Changes Added new MacOS-Compatible Manufacturers:

Added new links to manufacturers, Macintosh-related sites, and search engines. Added a "Buy MacOS 8!" button in support of the Buy MacOS 8 campaign. If you haven't bought MacOS 8 yet, then go buy it! You'll love the new appearance, multi-tasking Finder, spring-loaded folders, pop-up Windows, contextual menus, personal web sharing, integrated Java, and more! Updated the Mailing List with new MacOS-Compatible manufacturers to choose from. I also added the Newton, which I overlooked in the past. Updated the By Processor pages. Updated "Estimated Current Prices". Updated "Introduction" and "Discontinued" dates. Updated configurations on numerous models. Corrected various errors. June 20, 1997 If you have ever visited EveryMac.com before, you probably already have noticed many changes. EveryMac.com has been redesigned to be more attractive, easier-to-use, and to download much faster than before. It also gives more categories of information on each Macintosh and MacOS-Compatible. Additions & Changes Added a new "grayscale database look-and-feel" that should make the information easier to locate and easier to read. As Apple would say "enhance the visual cues". Added new, fast downloading and easy-to-read tables for the "By Manufacturer" and "By Processor" pages to replace the previous image maps. Added great new navigational icons from the Chromium Au Kaleidoscope scheme that are intended to further the "light MacOS 8" feeling. Added the manufacturer, processor type, and processor speed to each manufacturer and processor page, to make it easier than ever to compare different computers. Added subpages to Apple's section to improve the download time. Added a promotional QuickTime movie to Apple's 20th Anniversary Macintosh. Added new content pages to improve the download time. Each content page is now divided by series, and larger series are further divided. For example, the Performa section now includes 11 subpages with about six computers on each page, instead of 60+ computers as before. Added relevant anchor tags to make EveryMac.com easier to follow. Added requests for the "adoption" of manufacturers. If you would like to "adopt" your favorite MacOS-Compatible company, particularly if you live in Europe or Asia, please let me know. Thanks.
