June 21, 1999 This month, EveryMac.com has been completely redesigned, and includes new forums, a members section, and specs on the latest Power Macintosh G3 series. Compatibility with MacOS 8.6, officially and unofficially, for systems and upgrade cards has also been added. It is hoped that you enjoy this major update and find EveryMac.com even more useful than before. Additions & Changes: Added a new "dark blue, light blue, and khahi" look-and-feel that should make EveryMac.com more attractive and improve usability. Added font support for Arial and Geneva, MS Sans Serif (MS Sans Serif) to make EveryMac.com more attractive on Macs and Wintel boxes. Added a new "Forums" section to allow you to discuss everything related to Mac hardware from the vintage 68k Macs to the latest translucent G3s. Added a new "Members" section that will replace the "Mailing List" as well as allow access to the forums and soon offer deep content exclusively for members. Added a new, faster ad script. Ads are now served from a different server as well, which should significantly improve speed. Added new computers:
Added "Most Popular" links to frequently used subpages to make navigation faster. Added new links to Macintosh-related sites and removed several broken and outdated ones. Changed the "Current Path" link system to make it easier to return to a particular page of interest. Changed specified fonts for greater cross-platform compatibility. Charcoal has been replaced by Arial Bold and Times New Roman has been replaced by Geneva, MS Sans Serif and MS Sans Serif. Changed the "before" link color to a "darker" shade of blue to match navigational elements and the "after" link color to a "softer" shade of blue to make distinguishing between the two easier. Updated the Currently Shipping pages. Updated "Supported MacOS" to include which systems and upgrade cards can run MacOS 8.6, both officially and unofficially. Updated the "Estimated Current Prices".
