Please note that this A3108 iPhone 15 Pro Max is compatible with 5G NR bands n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n8, n12, n20, n25, n26, n28, n30, n38, n40, n41, n48, n66, n70, n75, n76, n77, n78, and n79. It is not compatible with 5G NR mmWave bands n258, n260, and n261. It is intended for carriers in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao, but it is technically compatible with carriers around the world. Unlike other iPhone 15 Pro Max models, it lacks eSIM capability entirely and instead supports dual hardware nano-SIMs.
All iPhone 15 Pro Max models have a haptic-touch capable 6.7" (diagonal) "Super Retina XDR display" with ProMotion (2796x1290, 460 ppi, 120Hz refresh rates) that occupies nearly the entire front of the device. It has four cameras. On the front -- tucked in the "Dynamic Island" -- is a "TrueDepth" camera that in addition to supporting Face ID, takes 12 megapixel photos and shoots 4K video. The rear packs a "Pro camera system" with a 48 megapixel "Main" camera, a 12 megapixel "Ultra Wide" camera, and a 12 megapixel "5X Telephoto" camera (tetraprism, 120 mm). The camera system unveils a new 24 megapixel "super-high-resolution" default, allows users to switch between three popular focal lengths -- 24 mm, 28 mm, and 35 mm -- and supports 48 megapixel HEIF images for 4x more resolution than earlier models, as well.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max uses an "aerospace-grade" Titanium frame with contoured edges over an aluminum "substructure" and has a glass front and back. The front has a "Ceramic Shield" cover for durability and the back has an integrated "MagSafe" magnetic charging connection. It is splash, water, and dust-resistant to the IP68 standard (maximum depth of 6 meters up to 30 minutes). It has four subdued "Titanium" color options -- Natural, Blue, White, and Black.
Internally, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is powered by a 3.78 GHz "Apple A17 Pro" processor with six cores -- two performance cores and four efficiency cores -- as well as a 6-core GPU, a 16-core Neural Engine, "hardware-accelerated ray tracing", and a "dedicated AV1 decoder" for more efficient video streaming. It has 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of flash storage. It also supports 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6E, 5G wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, Thread networking, second generation Ultra Wideband, NFC for Apple Pay, "Express Cards with power reserve" for compatible transit systems, Crash Detection, Emergency SOS and Roadside Assistance via satellite, a USB-C port, a new "Action" button that replaces the previous ring/silent switch, and support for dual hardware nano-SIMs (it does not support eSIM at all).
Apple estimates that the iPhone 15 Pro Max provides "up to" 95 hours of audio playback, 29 hours of video playback, and 25 hours of streamed video playback.
In mainland China, this specific iPhone 15 Pro Max originally cost RMB 9999, 11,999, and 13,999 with 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB of storage, respectively. It also was available financed over a two-year contract for RMB 417, 500, and 583 a month, respectively.
