Please note that this A2846 iPhone 15 is compatible with 5G NR bands n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n8, n12, n14, n20, n25, n26, n28, n29, n30, n38, n40, n41, n48, n53, n66, n70, n71, n75, n76, n77, n78, and n79 as well as 5G NR mmWave bands n258, n260, and n261 (which only are supported by this model). It is intended for carriers in the United States as well as the US possession of Puerto Rico but is technically compatible with carriers around the world as long as they support eSIM (it does not support hardware nano-SIM).
All iPhone 15 models have a haptic-touch capable 6.1" (diagonal) "Super Retina XDR" display (2556x1179, 460 ppi) that occupies nearly the entire front of the device. It has three cameras. On the front -- tucked in the "Dynamic Island" -- is a "TrueDepth" camera that in addition to supporting Face ID, has a f/1.9 aperture, takes 12 megapixel photos, and shoots 4K video. The rear is equipped with a 4K capable "advanced dual-camera system" with a 48 megapixel "Main" camera (f/1.6 aperture) and a 12 megapixel "Ultra Wide" camera (f/2.4 aperture, 120-degree field of view) camera.
The iPhone 15 uses an aluminum case with a "contoured edge" and flat sides and has a glass front and "color-infused" glass back. The front has a "Ceramic Shield" cover for durability and the back has an integrated "MagSafe" magnetic charging connection. It is splash, water, and dust-resistant to the IP68 standard (maximum depth of 6 meters up to 30 minutes). It has five color options -- pale shades of Blue, Pink, Yellow, and Green as well as Black.
Internally, the iPhone 15 is powered by a 3.5 GHz "Apple A16 Bionic" processor with six cores -- two performance cores and four efficiency cores -- as well as a 5-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine. It has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB of flash storage. It also supports 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 with 2x2 MIMO, 5G wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, "second generation" Ultra Wideband, NFC for Apple Pay, "Express Cards with power reserve" for compatible transit systems, Crash Detection, Emergency SOS and Roadside Assistance via satellite, a USB-C port, and support for dual eSIMs (it does not support hardware SIM cards at all).
Apple estimates that the iPhone 15 provides "up to" 80 hours of audio playback, 20 hours of video playback, and 16 hours of streamed video playback.
In the US, this specific iPhone 15 originally cost US$799, US$899 and US$1099 with 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB of storage, respectively, if assigned to a carrier (if not assigned to a carrier, there is an additional US$30 charge). It also originally was available financed over a two-year contract for as little as US$33.29, US$37.45, and US$45.79 a month, respectively.
On September 9, 2024, Apple cut the price to as little as US$699, US$799, and US$999 if paid upfront or financed over a two-year contract for as little as US$29.12, US$33.29, and US$41.62 a month, respectively.
