Apple sold PowerBook Duo models from 1992 until 1997. The PowerBook Duo series combines not only a lightweight laptop but also the option to set up a full-powered desktop Mac when the laptop is connected to a compatible Duo Dock. Unfortunately, the Duo series never sold well in the United States, which likely was the primary reason it was discontinued.
