26 September 2023

This update of EveryMac.com features complete details and benchmarks for the now shipping iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max as well as nearly complete specs, identifiers, and global prices for the also shipping Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2. EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup has been updated, too.

The "final" version of macOS Sonoma (macOS 14) is scheduled to be released today (26 September 2023). To be on the safe side, EveryMac.com always recommends waiting for a "bug fix" update or two before upgrading to a new operating system.

Last week, iOS 17 was released with a major bug that prevented data from transferring properly from an older iPhone to a new iPhone 15. It was fixed by iOS 17.0.2; a helpful reminder of why waiting a bit longer always is a good idea.

EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup has been updated with additional identifiers for Macs and devices from hands-on inspection and submissions by helpful readers. Thank you very much to those who contribute info. It's appreciated always.

If you bought, or buy, a new iPhone or Apple Watch, please get in touch and send in its identifiers. In particular, if you bought an Apple Watch Series 9 or Apple Watch Ultra 2 in Canada, the UK, Europe, or Australia, it would be greatly appreciated if you would reach out to help confirm identification info. Thank you.

For those interested in saving money, site sponsor OWC has a variety of used and refurbished iPhone and Apple Watch models, but only while supplies last.
