This update of EveryMac.com features complete specs, identifiers and benchmarks (as well as a handful of Q&As) for the new iPad and Apple TV models. EveryMac.com also has overhauled all pre-G3 PowerPC Mac specs pages.
Additionally, the Currently Shipping, By Year, By Processor, By Capability, and By Identifier methods to browse iPod, iPhone and iPad models have been updated. The Ultimate iLookup and Ultimate iComparison features have been updated, too.
For those more interested in old Macs than the iPad, or at least equally interested in old Macs, the pre-G3 PowerPC Mac specs now use the same "details drawers" format and "tab-based" page layout as the vintage 68k Mac specs. This makes it possible to include more details and explanation where needed and to improve ease-of-use and reduce load time.
This also means that the number of ad banners displayed has been reduced -- that's right, reduced -- but with your continued support of the companies that sponsor the site, EveryMac.com still will be able to serve you both now and in the future.
If you have purchased a new iPad, or buy one in the coming days or weeks, please send in its serial number. The non-personal information will be added to EveryMac.com to help with model identification and differentiation. Thank you very much.
