The Apple Mac mini "M5 Pro" 18-Core CPU/20-Core GPU (2026) formally is a "configure-to-order" configuration of the Mac mini "M5 Pro" 15-Core CPU/16-Core GPU (2026), but also is documented as a separate model for reader convenience. Compared to the standard model, this custom configuration has a different CPU/GPU combo, but it otherwise can be configured identically.
The Apple Mac mini "M5 Pro" 18-Core CPU/20-Core GPU (2026) model features a (Pending) GHz Apple M5 Pro processor with 18 CPU cores (6 "super" cores and 12 "performance" cores), a 20-core GPU, a 16-core Neural Engine, and a default 24 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The RAM is integrated onboard and cannot be upgraded after initial system purchase, but the storage may be removable even if it is officially "not user accessible" (subject to confirmation, Pending). Both RAM and storage can be custom configured with higher capacity options at the time of purchase.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), Bluetooth 6, Thread networking, two USB-C ports (support for USB 3; up to 10Gb/s) and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the front, and three Thunderbolt 5 (USB-C connector; up to 120Gb/s), HDMI, and default 2.5Gb Ethernet on the back (configurable with 10Gb Ethernet at the time of purchase). This is all packed in a diminutive silver colored cube that is a mere 5 x 5 inches wide and deep and 2 inches tall.
Compared to its predecessor, this model looks identical but uses a faster internal architecture, faster storage, and has improved connectivity.
All Mac mini systems are configured by default without a display, keyboard, or mouse, but numerous Apple and third-party options are available.
