This update of EveryMac.com features an overhaul of all vintage 68k Mac specs pages and the latest Actual Maximum RAM capacities for modern Macs. EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Comparison, Ultimate Mac Sort and Ultimate Mac Lookup features have been updated, too.

To make it possible to include more details and explanation where needed and enhance integration with the rest of the site, vintage 68k Mac specs pages now use the same "details drawers" format as G3 and later Macs.

In addition, the vintage 68k Mac specs unveil a new "tab-based" page layout to improve ease-of-use and reduce load time. This means that "ports" information can be viewed quickly without the need to load an entire new page.

For your convenience, the new format will be phased in on more modern specs pages in the coming weeks. This new format also means that the number of ad banners displayed has been reduced -- that's right, reduced -- but with your continued support of the companies that sponsor the site, EveryMac.com still will be able to serve you whether you're interested in vintage systems or modern ones.

EveryMac.com's Actual Maximum RAM has been updated with the latest details and limitations for the Mac Pro line on individual specs pages, on the single-page "rundown" from the By Capability section of the site, and within the Ultimate Mac Comparison and Ultimate Mac Sort features.

EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup has been updated with new identifiers submitted by helpful readers. Thank you very much to those who contributed information from holiday and new year purchases, it's always appreciated.
